Welcome to Everwild Outdoor Learning, where nature is our classroom and curiosity leads the way. Nestled in the heart of lush woodlands, my forest preschool offers a unique educational experience for young explorers aged 3-9. At Everwild, children embark on daily adventures, fostering a deep connection with the natural world while nurturing their love for learning. I blend play-based curriculum with hands-on exploration, empowering children to discover, create, and thrive in the great outdoors. Everwild’s Mission

Everwild is dedicated to supporting families who desire to impart the enriching and educational aspects of nature to their children. Through fostering a profound connection with the natural world and its various processes, children flourish and develop not only an appreciation for nature but also a sense of responsibility towards it.

I firmly believe that genuine affection for something stems from a personal connection, and my aim is to nurture each child's bond with nature. Alongside fostering organic intellectual growth, I focus on instilling a moral compass that encompasses principles of empathy and compassion. The children in my program will emerge from this experience with resilience, curiosity, creativity, responsibility and a spirit of generosity.

The Value of Play

We all know that play is how children learn. We’ve witnessed it. We see it in ourselves. There are countless studies that prove it. All the experts say it should be the primary focus of early childhood learning. And yet local preschools are teaching letters and letter sounds. Three-year-olds are expected to color within the lines. Four-year-olds are doing worksheets. As a society, we are removing play and replacing it with teacher-directed learning that is not relevant to or necessary for young children. We treat our work as a revolution and we are fighting passionately to protect childhood, to promote play, and give children the space they deserve to exercise this basic human right.
